Digestion time is a process of breaking down big food particles into tiny particles to absorb them into the bloodstream. Complete digestion of food takes between 24 to 72 hours and depends on the amount and types of foods you have eaten. The factors that determine complete digestion are an individual’s physical health, metabolism, age, and even gender. 02/10 Seeds and nuts
High fat seeds like sunflower, pumpkin, sesame takes about 60 minutes on other hand nuts like almonds, cashews, walnuts and Brazil nuts take double this time to digest.
It is hard to digest as it is packed with saturated fat, sodium, nitrates and preservatives and gives you trouble while going through your digestive system. It takes 3-4 hours to digest.
Smoothie is an amazing blend of fruits and vegetables and it takes 20-30 minutes to digest.
Vegetables high in water such as lettuce, celery, watercress, asparagus, cucumber, peppers, tomatoes and radishes digest in 30-40 minutes.
Cooked leafy and cruciferous vegetables such as kale, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower and bok choy digest in around 40-50 minutes.
Root vegetables like beetroot, sweet potatoes and carrot digest in 50-60 minutes.

Brown rice, millet, buckwheat, oats and cornmeal take 90 minutes whereas lentils, chickpeas, peas, kidney beans and soy beans takes 2-3 hours to digest.
Watermelons digest in 20-25 minutes and various other melons take 30 minutes. Fruits like oranges, grapefruit and bananas around 30 minutes whereas apple, pear, cherries, kiwi takes 40 minutes to digest.
08/10 Dairy products
Skimmed milk and low-fat cheese takes an hour and a half to digest.
09/10 Juices and broths
Juices or broths do not contain any fiber and can be digested easily in just 15 minutes.
Egg yolk digest in 30 minutes on the other hand whole egg takes 45 minutes to digest.
